Everyone loves some new accessories to go with their little multi colored and plastic music playing device but a riff has been set between Apple’s new iPod earphones causing some of the advertised features to not work on iPods already in hands before today. Earbuds Apple? C’mon!

Some people look forward to Billy Idol concerts, Political conventions and Tupperware parties which are usually pre planned along with a seemingly infinite amount of anxiety tacked. Mac fans, Bloggers and the occasional market analyst don’t get the star treatment so much with only a few rumors to guide us in freeing up our “socially burdened” calendars to casually stroll into an Apple event. Oh hey, looks like one is going down September 9th, thankfully casual wear is allowed.

You know a concert is good when the technical engineering and production not only flows with the show but provides a drastically different atmosphere of realism. Sometimes things do go awry or just happen to fuck up in general but very rarely are they supposed to fuck up per show requirements.

Apple has always been that nagging parent always deciding what’s good and what it isn’t when it comes to using the iPhone. While some of those over generous methods of inducing the sensation of a great product haven’t come off so well, others are quite useful such as Push notification, unfortunately it’s being yanked from the latest developer seed of iPhone Firmware 2.1, Beta 4.

Apple has been in Best Buy’s retail bed for quite some time, what with their Mac pilot program going strong you seriously didn’t expect them to stop that relationship once the iPhone crept in did you know? In addition to the small communes forming outside of a local Apple Stores and needy business buyers harassing AT&T for some stock, you’ll be able to join the legion of gamers and that one guy there for the DVD sale in the rat race to an iPhone. Starting September 7th, Apple will be partnering with Best Buy to sell iPhones at their national retail outlets.

The MacBook Air has been tagged as one of Apple’s less diminutive Macs both in function and size with the exception of the price tag (of course I can assault your conscious with this more but I’m sure you’ve heard) yet a few rumored upgrades could sweeten the deal substantially. Changes to the underlying architecture would make it fit easier within Apple’s notebook lineup and do away with core shut downs and over heating.

Before the iPhone even sprang forth from the bowels of Apple’s Cupertino based campus, they shopped around for a suitable carrier to love, nurture and bring in monthly revenue for the iPhone. One of the first picks, Verizon, strongly turned it down passing off Apple’s partnership as a mere gimmick (nearing 10 million sales since launch seems to indicate otherwise or that almost 10 million people are easily subdued) and consequently all those new subscribers to AT&T. Whether they’re still hurting from a deep wound or just really faithful in their selection of touch screen phones, they’d really like to tell you why the iPhone hasn’t affected them at all, really, they want to.

Microsoft has been trying to get their shit together in pushing Vista as more than a bundled mass of clobbered together 1’s & 0’s hacked together by developers who could probably finger paint better than code and waiting this long to convince us that Vista is anything but exposes a weak marketing department. Instead of drumming up hype about Vista early on in the still infant Beta, Microsoft practically gave every adopter the keys to their PR machine and a buggy product to market to the rest of everyone else.

As part of the shipping batch of Apps to celebrate the launch of iPhone Firmware 2.0 and the included App Store, NetNewsWire didn’t come off so hot. It came off more as that stubbornly drunk always crashing the party demanding absurd amounts of Vodka to pacify underlying emotional issues. But its developers have since sent it to rehab and the newest update finally knocked it shitless with a heavy dose of reality and bug fixing.
