Repost: iChat Screen Names For 40 Apple Stores

The Apple Store is generally a very friendly and social place when it comes to just about anything. But why not take that experience of meeting some cool and hip new person home? Well, now you can using the power of iChat, just don’t be bummed when no one wants to be your friend outside of your buddy list.

A while ago I had Blogged this same list on the now defunct Blog Tech Blot. It had a good run yet you move onto bigger and better things (like Apple Stash) but this is one of the few posts that stuck onto me or at least remained buried on my Hard Drive deep down somewhere. Nonetheless, if you’ve got an AIM account and too much free time on your hand, you can add the following screen names to your buddy list and convince that wavering grandpa Windows really is the reincarnation of Satan, that starving student a Mac Pro would be worth it instead of a dorm room or play quality support taking random surveys that walk the line between humor and creepy.

Just don’t pull the sad mistake of starting a video chat and mooning innocent store goers. But have some fun, convince a Mac user to lend control of their screen to you and type up quotes reminiscent of the Matrix or whatever dystopian Sci-Fi movie pops into your head or launch iTunes changing the song enough times all words become lost falling into one loud blur.

Load up iChat after copying any of the screen names below and hold down Shift + Command + Up and paste it in. Just don’t forget to add it to the correct group with the store location.

This Week In Apple Stash: Uninteresting First Post on October 4th, 2008 3:34pm

[...] Shop The Apple Store From iChat Ok not really, but you can do the next best thing and talk to people shopping at the Apple Store. While you could shop the online store, pestering people to buy an iPod and ship it your home and delivering payment upon receiving it could be the next best thing. If you’re feeling lonely you could talk up over 200 Macs at a variety of Apple Stores and time zones. Don’t be sad when your pen pal doesn’t write back [...]
